In Love With A SongA Poem by Karina Longo
Can't think about the future
They say you can't guess it, you see How come then that I already know it You won't be there to share it with me The fog and the fire they hurt with The same everlasting intensity A winter black night or a sky so bright Don't make any difference to me Too much talking, too many smiles Lack of truth is just another detail Actions and sadness shamefully withdrawn What a lovely fireplace you have In your splendid living room Is there where they burnt all your deepest desires And you've tried to leave the cold inside so soon? You're married with kids, I know, and for a real long time But then again there was a day When you were just another lonely guy You gave me a piece of paper, said it was a song you wrote to me Now there are some consequences, I'm in love with a song as I can't be in love with thee. © 2011 Karina LongoFeatured Review
