A Poem by living lavender
"

poetically lost my mind

"
the perfectly punctual prosperous porcupine
picked away at polluted flower planes along his pantry
wanting to purchase pastries with pennies from ponies
{but they denied him ever so}

such purple peonies were planted with promise
yet paper thin pickle pies were promptly forgotten
when panthers pranced passionately amongst them
{still they denied me a show}

many panicked people run parallel to a precious life
passing pomegranates after pious power
with pompous patience prickling their prowess
{they are denied what they know}

Densely populated with wonder and curious scenery, this poem demands a reader to take their time to digest what each line has to offer. It reads like a lost track on PATD's album Pretty. Odd., which is meant as a compliment from me as I love that album (they had a much more sophisticated lyricist back then). Very enjoyable read.

A wonderfully clever and amusing poem. Would be ideal for small children to learn, sing and dance to, Imagine doing a series of them.. you'd be famous in no time, living lavender.

Well, that is positively the most prolific and prolonged alliteration I have seen in a long time. You are an expert, and what a tongue twister too. Now I need to work on the meaning, living lavender. Porcupines now aren’t they a bit prickly?

thank you for such kind words as always.
why yes. they positively are ;)
Alliteration is an effective device, but overdone it detracts from the poem. Of course, when meant for comedic effect, which I think was your intent, there are no restrictions.

true and true :)
this one felt good to write without boundaries.
I always love it when people lose their minds. It's usually the best way to truly get to know someone. For good or bad

I have yet to make out the shape of your poem, but surely I will. Because though the scenery's abstract, I caught glimpses of familiar feelings I have once adorned in your poem. Perhaps, I will understand one day, if someone allows me. Thank you for sharing your work, author living lavender, I wish you a nice day.
