An irrevokable love story.A Poem by Lizza543An emotionally stunted girl leaves the love of her life because she is convinced that their powerful love isn't real.I look into his eyes, as he gazes into mine. What a perfect way to end the summertime. His lips locked gently on my forehead. A love so pure, so effortlessly divine. With him, my heart intertwines. I close off my mind To try and stop thinking, of that peaceful stare. The way his hands slip so easily into mine. Only in my dreams is a love like this possible. I wouldn't dare To abandon, to ignore. My love is everpure My love is infinite. As we look towards the gleaming blue lake, I contemplate. Will our love still be there when we wake? Will he feel the same by daybreak? Or is this love a game, a play on words of adoration and fate. I glance at his sleeping face, witnessing the confusion and betrayal that dare not speak their names. Are we really meant to be? Or was this just a clouded non reality? There is still a hint of him lingering in between my lips. I caress his face and banish the droplets that escaped from my eyes. Tears aren't welcome. How can i cry for something that just isn't real? So without a single word, I grab a hold of his sleeping face and with the matter of an excruiating minute, I say goodbye. To the best dream I've ever had. There is no more explanation, no answer to my why. I'm conciously living in a clouded non-reality. So, at last i run. I run towards what I'm sure of, what i know is real. I run towards reality. I run. When he wakes, he won't feel me there. I only hope he can understand why i couldn't bear. What i was too stupid to see for myself. The truth.
