Thoughts Of My Past

Thoughts Of My Past

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

Idk just thinking about Don....he's been on my mind a lot lately...& frankly, I HOPE he changes back...i want him back! ;-; & not the new monster he is now but the old sweet Don.

"

Baby, do you know how much I miss you?
How much I want to touch & kiss you?
Do all the things we used to do.
Back when the words you spoke were true.
Now I don’t know what you are.
You’re not the man I loved, not by far.
Your eyes are cold like frozen stars.
They burn me now, leave me with scars.
Why don’t you give a damn about me?
About what we had, what we used to be?
Before the fights, the jealousy.
Before you faded to a memory.

I like your tempo. your pace. and i love the line:
Your eyes are cold like frozen stars.
Brillinant!
It's quick, direct and steady.....It's Great.

Your eyes are cold like frozen stars.

Haha, I picked this line, too, that stood out. What a beautiful, simple write. Why do we yearn so, for what is in the past? It's sad, but true. Loved this piece from you. :)
