Footprints in the Sand

I wrote this after somthing very tramatic happned to me

Footprints in the sand

Lasting a moment

Then gone

Leaving no trace

 

Waves crash upon the shore

Washing mem'rys gone

First Sad

Then ones Fond

 

Footprints in the sand

Two sets, one returned

One lost

The others found

The way I understood this is it's a goodbye of sorts. I maybe mistaken but, this is the feeling it gave me.
