Rehab 3 (Riverside Drive)

Rehab 3 (Riverside Drive)

A Poem by H
"

Wayzata, MN

"

Under a bridge

On Riverside Drive

A man weeps

Through bloodshot eyes

He has nothing left

To stay alive for

Except the next high

Except to get more

He has no more hope

His dreams have been slain

And the constant reminders

The trackmarks and veins

He weeps to the night

Through bloodshot eyes

Under a bridge

On Riverside Drive.

A hard way to live. Lost a cousin this year. Drank himself to death. 10 year younger then me. Easy to fall down and can't get up in this cold world. A powerful poem. You write with great skills.
