Tainted Wings

Tainted Wings

A Poem by H0P3L3$$ !N$@N!TY(Luna)

Pitch black ink drip from my colorless being,
Dull gray etchings carved into my wings,
Silent beating notes float eerily in the wind,
An unwanted call to anything.
An unfinished blessing,
A failure to nature,
A lifeless joy,
Doomed to be unappreciated by anyone.
Damned cursed wings!
No one sees the life,
No one sees the beauty,
Blinded by pride,
And glory all around them.
But through this butterfly's dying eyes,
It sees only one,
There may be hope after all...
For these...my tainted wings.

A very beautiful and dark poem. I really like how you combined "Taited wings" since wings are suppose to be pure and free. Very well written, and your poem has a great imagery. Wonderful.
