Between the Lines

I'm back and writing again 

thats how you know 

I've lost all my friends 

when I feel that urge 

it comes from within

 deep in the soul 

It's not very bright 

its filled with all the terrors I fight 

writing again is how 

you know I'm not alright 

I almost always write at night 

its when I collapse 

and succumb to the fight

I tell myself it helps

but the truth is 

it shows me my real self 

 the one that I keep locked in a cell 

and I'm sorry if this doesn't flow

doesn't rhyme
