Filaments of Time

Filaments of Time

A Poem by Hannah

Time

Slipping through

My fingertips.

Regrets

Piling high

Stacking themselves

Higher

They gather

Until I can't see.

Wasted

Lives in my

Empty old hands.

Void

Cannot find

Something to fill

Emptiness

Gathered in

My aching soul.

Wandering

Through this life

In search of nothing

Aching

For a tomorrow thats never coming.

You describe so well, the way so many people feel, dear poet. We have to learn to forgive ourselves and love ourselves despite our imperfections.

Thank you :) and I agree, although to forgive oneself can be a challenge.
