You don't understand

These words that I say.

You don't get what I feel

More and more everyday.

I tried to keep it in

But it wouldn't stay.

It wouldn't erase

Or stay hidden away.

You looked at me blankly

and ignored what I said.

So once again, I

Locked It all in, and

It lays heavy as lead.

A very well done poem! As the reader it easy to relate to how written word can be this outlet for the pain and frustration when nothing else seems to work as a form to communicate. I don't know if any particular event triggered this response or if it more from a long time of waiting to be understood but either way I found it very clear. I hope you're able to be heard and understood and get at least some of that weight out.
