Growing in a slum

Deep pockets

Totally numb

Cars race past

Slow methodic hum

Cat in a dumpster

Clawing wretched bum

Wasted potential

Eyes never come

I enjoyed this poem. There's more to life than the wrapper. She might be the one bright star giving people hope in her surrounding. I love this poem though, it shows Violoet's beauty and worth regardless of where she is at.
