The simple truth

Being consumed -

totally and utterly devoured 

by a man;

by my love for him

and his for me,

is both my greatest fear

and my deepest desire.

Totally being devoured by a man, that is scary. Mutual adoration is wonderful if it lasts. I don't like that feeling if being out of control, maybe I'm a bit of a control freak on the quiet. Your little poem Laura Kate made me look inwards.

People who like to be in control will struggle the most with this, but then we should ask ourselves where the need for control comes from? Is it only when we surrender and go with the flow that things will work out the way they're supposed to?...Is there even any way things are 'supposed' to be..?

giving oneself totally....it is scary....not the first time...then it is reckless abandon...but if that first time does not work out....we never quite approach love with the same freedom of heart.
