You promised me a few things 
I gave you a little bit of every- thing
I let you hold on to things about me
The little things gave you away 
They taught me a lot about you

But what I didn’t know was the size of your ego
Your ego engulfed me little by little
Left me scared to reveal more things 
I became no-thing to you 
Every-thing you wanted turned into lies

Foolish little me 
Things aren’t great as they seem 
But you sure made me believe in things
