Chasing the Moon

A dark night

The moon had disappeared

Gone forever

Dark forever

 

Or so it seemed

 

But then came the sun

Lit up the day

Everything was happy again

Everything was alive again

 

And then

 

The sun set

Chasing its own moon

Leaving the night alone once more

Leaving the night dark once more

 

Except

 

It’s not dark

Each star gives a little light

Together they light up the night

Together they make it better
