Why?

"What is it about heartbreak, that causes young teenage hearts to fall? And what is it about love that proceeds to conquer us all?" A poem consisting of some of life's most challenging questions.

Why?

What is it about heartbreak
That causes young teenage hearts to fall?
What is it about love
That proceeds to conquer us all?
Why is it that we decide to trust
The people who tell nothing but lies?
Why is it that we insist to hang on
And then muster a solid 'good bye'?
What is it about friendship
That is so hard to keep?
Why do we toss away the good ones
And then cherish the ones that are cheap?
Why must we always result to anger
When nothing seems to go our way?
Why must we strive to be individuals
Yet never have our say?
What is it about hope
That cleanse us mind body and soul?
Why is it sometimes that we dream
And yet never reach our goal?
Why must our society hate
And allow jealousy to rule our minds?
How come we push away all good reasoning
And then ignore the signs?
Why is it that we must judge
And refuse our hearts to mend?
Why can't we all just live in peace
And let Him govern us in the end?

Nicely written read here very strong message here as well. Yes the question is why. what a world if all things that goes on today in society the bad things where total opposites. You discuss some highly based talkative topics here Raising the bars on what society accepts no matter how good or bad. But we should all just get along and coexist and live together peacefully instead of in violence. As always keep writing fellow writer.

I'd say it's probably because we are all fallen sinners, and we all think we are right and not God. We insist on running our lives our way instead of God's way, and trusting our own wisdom instead of God's Word . . . and thus, the world is in its current shape
