Silence...Almost

I wonder

What absolute silence

Actually sounds like?

The complete absence of sound.

Hearing nothing whatsoever,

Not even your own heartbeat.

What's it like?

Is it peaceful and calming?

Or is it so quiet

That it's annoying,

And bugs you so much

Until you just start humming?

Take a moment to be silent...

Yes, you...

LISTEN................................

Did you hear it?

The silence?

Don't worry, I didn't either.

 

Maybe silence shouldn't

Even be a word.

What's the point

If it never acutally occurs?

This is very very true. We think we would like complete silence. But that is like death.
Maybe what we really want is quiet, the absence of loud and annoying sounds.

this was mysterious but questionable...it was nice just like your other poems and it would be even better if it was longer...it is still great though it's just that it is soooooo good, that it makes me want more!!!
