Raspberry Thimbles

Raspberry Thimbles

A Poem by Lucas Djaroyan

She is snacking on berries we picked in the park;
They are thoroughly sweet and a little bit tart.
Her mouth and her cheeks are painted with pulp,
As she gobbles the berries in the loudest of gulps.

She wears them like thimbles on her ten tiny fingers,
Suckling them, so that their sweetness shall linger.
Reclining and munching, so cheerful and merry,
She, herself, now resembles a blush dainty berry.
