Poolside

Poolside

A Poem by Lucas Djaroyan

Three nubile bodies slacked by the pool,
Ceaselessly dripping and thoroughly wet.
Crystalline globules covered them whole;
Made up of mixtures of water and sweat.

They were restfully mellow and silent;
Reclining in the most beautiful doze.
Moving ever so slightly and calmly;
Wiggling water-pruned fingers and toes.

Three sets of clothes had littered the ground.
Surrounding the timeworn chairs of rattan.
There the youths were tranquilly napping,
With their skins reflecting the poolside cyan.
