Blood spills

I was going to write you a poem
Slip it in your locker and wait.
I was going to take the time to pour out my feelings onto a single sheet of paper.
Then it occurred to me that it would be waste of time,
but I tried anyway.
Watching you crumple it up and throw it away cut deeper than any words that any human could speak.
I grabbed and bleed on a page for you
And all I got was pain.. No more writing.. no more love songs, I'm going to make sure to bleed where it truly matters.
