My New Friend

My New Friend

A Poem by Ally Baker

Flaming beauty

Wonderful heat

Dancing freely

With a twitch

Of my finger

It dissappears

Another twitch

&& it comes back

My arm feels sticky

With the Axe

Laying upon it

Thickly

I bring down

The flame,

My new friend,

To the thick layer of Axe

She grows bigger

Instantly

I whimper

As she dances

Drinking the Axe

Oh so quickly

And moving on

To eat at my skin

The pain grows

And grows

So I decide to
End it

Water

My friend's enemy

Kills her off

I watch

My skin

Grow raw and red

And puff up

I run my fingers

Along it

Admiring it

And think about

The next visit

From my new friend
