She dances, even if it's by herself
she hears the melody, 1, 2, 3, it's the
beating of her heart, a heart that was broken,
shattered, but not destroyed.
A new day has come,
a coming out if you will and with it
her arms embrace
the welcoming of a new dance.

Twirling and twirling, her skirt billowing,
releasing the things that were tucked inside,
emotions, the familiar. as she twirls and twirls,
the pain is released, the hurt gone.

She laughs and then smile
as if there is a secret to this dance,
let go

She embraces her new beginning , her new dance.
