Fleeting thoughts of morbidity

I feel a panic as the sun begins to slip away
I reflect and wonder how I've spent my day
Was it full of beauty and life?
Or was it dark, burdened with strife?
I hope it was not the last
Because there is so much to remedy from my past
Please let me open my eyes once more
If nothing else, to settle one more score
