Loves ghost

Loves ghost

A Poem by Hannah Audibert

I didn't see it coming
The day you left
That 5am breakup text
Made me wish
I never looked at my phone

I waited for awhile
You didn't return
So I moved on
Graduated high-school
Then college

Then you returned
"I still love you"
You wrote, but
If felt like empty words
So much had changed

The frog was supposed
To turn into a prince;
Not whatever the hell this was
2am "you up" texts and
"Have you tried this 😉"

You had changed
From MY prince
To some h*ny boy
I guess in the end
Only loves ghost remains
