Still

Still

A Poem by Lushan

Your soul is

the dune in this

nightly desert.

The wind blows, shifting

it but it

is always there.

The crazy moon stirs the coyote

into howls of longing,

the cactus pricks and all around

weeds tumble,

but you, oh blessed,

ancient soul,

will always be.

Still.
