Before I Light the NextA Poem by Luxe
Today I couldn't even look at you
For more than three seconds Because every time our eyes connected I could feel the capillaries In my cheeks Causing my roses to bloom And I had to look away (Although I didn't want to You're face is too beautiful To not be carved in my mind) Because im sure if I didn't Then my cheeks would explode and bleed out along the tile floor Today you asked me why I chose To get hooked on cigarettes When in reality The need for cigarettes Is absolutely nothing compared To the hook I already have on you So if I could pack you nearly in a box Drag and fill my lungs with you I most definitely, absolutely And positively would © 2015 Luxe |
