How did I miss this one? Or did i review it? Your poems are always new to me even if i read them everyday. I like how you ended it. The red light should have lingered so you write more...And by the way, did that music stop or another one came that jolted your memory back, if that's the case...I am waiting for a another poem, the likes of this one

A great image of sitting at the stoplight, all that happening in a few minutes, the incredible life of the verse, the transformation of the noose around a neck to an arm around your waist, and I love the light turning green! A perfect ending.
A nice place described in the poetry. Old age taught me. Life is moments. We need to enjoy the good ones and make them last forever. Thank you Lydia for sharing the amazing poetry.

Yes, we do, John. Thank you for reading and your review. Lydi**
"the noose of memory tightens
but not around my neck - - around my waist" great use of contrast and surprise ... you got me!! how music remains threaded through most lives ...special friends, situations even times alone "gettin' down to a tune and pounding the steering wheel not caring who sees ... makes me feel good Lydia ... real good to start my day!

Absolutely the best! The way music triggers memories is unlike any other media, and you've perfectly described what sounds like a touching time. I loved this one !

The scenario bubbles in transparent wonder. You amaze me with words that add a sprig of lemon to a wonderful cool drink of memory.
Simply love your writing Lydia. I can't wait for the next one!

Now you should write a poem with your line in it! :) Thank you so much. Lydi**
Funny how the memories are so real they can be felt.
The touches, the kisses, all those moments relived.
Some beautiful lines in this one Lydi. And the end is perfect.
As this person came back to steal you away for just a moment and leaving you to carry on, until the next time they visit your thoughts.
