A lovely write on questioning oneself, why am i here comes to mind, beautifully written, the flow had me pondering after the read looking out my window. "I really was strong once" seemed a resignation but maybe just a low ebb hopefully passing. I think the window pic was of hope, one of searching, a new direction.
is from back before we really knew each other...or have i totally lost track of time...?
and the picture is a perfect mate to the poem.

This sounds like me and my needing to be inspired by something to get my pen moving again. How do we connect those dots of life Lydia? Valentine

An excellent, sensitive write. This collates in a lovely way the thoughts that usually come with the ending of the loss of an affair. No, the end of a love story. That is what this is.

I love the longing that's dripping from this creative message full of amazing alliteration & other nicely-grouped word sounds. There's a bit of the childlike ("magnifying moments of insignificance") alongside the deeply mature ponderings (starting w/ "trying to mend . . . rendered me ineffectual") . . . oh how I can relate to those feelings!
Sometimes it feels like that.. Those two words very well describe it... Seemingly and spontaneously...
But that state couldn't stop the beauty reflecting in this poem...very much relatable to many at some part of life.. Amazing!
Top marks for this, Lydi. The thought expressed is one most of us can relate to, sometimes the muse goes on vacation and we are left behind minding the store. The spark dims but doesn't die, as evidenced by this poem. Good write.
(groping for that spark - that fire my soul listens for words seldom spoken trying to mend what has fallen apart) Oh yes...most can remember having these thoughts my dear. You write so beautifully even when the subject may not be quite that way. I believe they call that talent! ~Sharon
