that's okayA Poem by Lydia Shutterrandom thoughts![]() artwork by anna razumovskaya tonight the breeze runs its spindly fingers up my legs sure it's winter, but this is south florida shorts are the order of the day the moon's halo has a special luminosity i find myself staring longingly at it allowing myself to bask in its glow because, hey, it lights the way to bliss right? i'm not dwelling on past mistakes tonight just telling myself they were opportunities i suppose it's like staring at weeds and pretending they are flowers or finding the empty bag of chips in the pantry then being happy i won't gain weight no i can't change the world but i can change the color of my nail polish and that makes me happy enough let me think bliss is just around the corner because tonight the moon is telling me that's okay
