don't we?

don't we?

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

sometimes there's an itch
just below the surface
a vague "something's not quite right"
nudging my psyche
a hunger overtakes me
usually at dark thirty
how many calories are burned worrying?
and why am i awake thinking of this anyway?
will i be happy on the other side of morning?
the music of silence dances
on the jagged curve of a moonbeam
and still i am the one worrying
must remember,  ashes, ashes, we all do fall down
don't we?

You are right dear Lydia.

I understand the above lines. We must release the worry and go forward. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Yes, we do, and we worry so much over the little things and it is really a better life if we don't...the big things clog our minds enough.

We do no doubt. We all go through those scenarios when things arise out of worry or anxiety. How we cope with it, how we control it and how we fight it becomes a valid question.
No worries for now: you are doing good and writing marvelously.
