The best friends who went where we could not follow.

Eyes met and the bond was made.
Do you remember the first time you met.
You felt a connection straight away.
Our first meeting I would never forget

You had become my life
As the years rolled on together we grew
You were my best friend
By my side I would always need you

When I saw you my face would light up
I needed to see you everyday
You brought an instant smile to my face
To see you I'd always find a way

Your body had begun to deteriorate
The years had taken their toll
Then your legs stopped working
I hated that I had no control

Eyes became heavy and closed forever
Torn apart, knowing we wont be together.
I sat with you as your soul went to depart
You left and it ripped out my heart
