see us dyingA Poem by LyricA lot of people are dying, in all these wars us "intelligent people" are creating, and i mean that on fault of all sides
Listen, we are crying,
Hear us dying, Here our screams, And bullets flying at our heads, At our children, And our parents, And the newly weds that tightly hold each other, At my father and my mother who are too old to run, And my sister and my brother who were caught by that man's gun, They could've gotten away, But then the soldier spun around, They weren't dead, He could've saved them, But he left them on the ground, Tears blur my eyes but as I run I still look around, Blood seems to be weighing Earth down by the pound, This world held up longer than I've ever hoped, I've found, But sooner or later, we were bound to destroy ourselves, We live in an unsound place, and now all I can do is fall to my knees, And wish for saving grace, With dirt and grime smeared over my face, For once in my life I pray for my end, and I hope it's the case © 2015 LyricAuthor's Note
