through a screen, 800 miles away?

I trusted your voice with my heart
before I ever even knew your hands.

How is it that I fell for you
in such a short amount of time?
Between all, hours long, and
texts sent quick but full of thought
each word pulling me closer to you.

How is it that I fell for you
when I said I wouldn't love again?
Yet here I am, words lurching out,
uninvited, spilling onto paper,

forming poems you'll never read.
