When I Looked

Feelings of neglect and more neglect

"Look!

It’s the little man who didn’t make it. 

Come on! Look! at him real quick.

He’s ripping tied trash bags from the neighbor’s waste, 

to feed his acid-burned stomach.

Look! Look at him take it;

this sandwich housing five tasty roaches.

The little man spoiled their fun,

So they all scatter fast trying to run, 

Now there’s no more friends, to eat or eat with.

But look at rebirth. Look at satisfaction. 

Look at teeth that don’t complain. 

He chews his food with haste,

His tongue knows no other taste.

Look at his box house placed under the rain.

Please look at damnation under the rain. 

Please look at this pained son of the Earth.

Look! Please look! Look at his stomach burst!

Oh! It’s too late now…

At least eating Death and dirt, will no longer hurt. . . me."
