I ask myself these questions,
every single day.

Do I love him, do I not,
is this relationship, really okay?
Should I end this, should I not,
will it hurt him, what will I say?!
Why, did I answer, yes to him?
Why did I let this, even begin?!

Author's Note

If someone has confessed to you before and you just said yes on the spur of the moment, or to avoid hurting that person, then you probably understand.

These questions are a lesson you must take with you. I've been in the situation before where I wondered why I did what I did. Why I didn't use caution. It hurts but if you have so much trepidation than that may be your heart telling you it's not going to work. I'd like to see what other people think about this.

BTW, confessed? Do you mean they said they like you?

Yes. Especially if it's a close friend who confessed, someone that you don't want to hurt or ruin a friendship with, it is hard (for me at least) to say no. Of course, this could be applied to other situations as well. It really depends on how the reader interprets it, I believe.
