Spiders thread
Swinging on the spiders thread I held onto the silk with a calloused hand The tender wind caressed my hair The branches of the tree swayed with my breathing I lifted my legs and it creaked I felt the mellow voices vibrate onto my hands Above the abyss I swung and looked up to the sky for guidance The blank skies stared down onto me I closed my eyes with a warm smile I swung on the thread all night It was then that I felt at peace It was the calm before the storm The silk became taught and started to stretch I looked into the endless tunnel below I descended down quietly, not a soul present And it snapped And I fell © 2014 MADAMAuthor's Note
