My Wife

My Wife

A Poem by M.A. Maxwell

Making waves in the pitch black night
Cutting through time on the edge of a life
Staring down the end in defiant rage

I know I'll crumble
I know I'll fight
I know I'll miss you
I know I'll die

Bleed into me as I bleed into you
Wither with me as I wither with you
Stand with me as I stand with you

I became us
Us became we
We became endless
