Look At Me

Look At Me

A Poem by M.A. Maxwell

Look at me while I look at you
The mind of a child comes crashing through
Eighteen winters froze nights without you
Look at me while I look at you

Now I am weathered and grown
A man not a child
A dream left alone

Now I would give all that I own
To die in your eyes
To make this moment known

Look at me while I look at you
The mind of a child comes crashing through
Eighteen winters froze nights without you
Look at me while I look at you

Now I must walk through this door
I must say my goodbyes
I must see you no more

Look at me while I look at you
The mind of a child comes crashing through
Eighteen winters froze nights without you
Look at me while I look at you

Look at me while I look at you
