The Part That’s Dying

There is not much to say about this writting except, that it is about a girl thats dreams of a reality, that will never come true.

 I told you how I felt

But you turned the other check

I was basically rejected

This heartache makes me want to cry

 

You’re just a fantasy

And you will never love me in reality

I know that someday you’re just going to be a memory 

That I will remember when I'm lonely

 

I found the reason why I always keep to myself

Cause it’s this pain that I hate

Of being rejected like I'm not good enough

This will never happen again

 

I told you how I felt

Because I wanted you to know

But apparently you will never feel the same

So I guess it’s time for me to go

 

But someday is not yet today

It still far away

But I wish you’ll notice anyway

That my heart is breaking

And even though I'm smiling

Just look into my eyes

And you’ll see that I'm dying

Oh damn to me this brings me back to a time when I had been rejected by someone I really wanted to be with. Hurt about as much as this poem decribes. That feeling of not been good enough is real but thankfully that rejection opened another door. The one to my wife.

Wow. Gosh you just spoke the words in my soul. Perfectly described my current situation. It's sweet and sad, easy to understand and resonating. Really great poem!
