Speeding byA Poem by M.H. BonesGrow fond of today as we look for tomorrow Séance of whispers
teeming with sorrow Dewy blades kneel
calm and still While whirling winds
bend iron will Haunting thoughts plague
solemn night Vivid visions burning
bright Grains of sand slip through
my fingers Course and brittle
flavor lingers Raving mad clenched
fists are flailing Caught in widow’s web
unfailing A world away and seas
apart But only inches from
the start To live succumbing to
a lie Or wave as I go speeding by © 2016 M.H. BonesAuthor's Note
