The non-existential gaping void.

The non-existential gaping void.

A Poem by Mike Patterson
"

Why I went after my words did.

"

Twas a time, very recent
when my words did grace this space.
All was fine, fairly decent
my work took refuge in this place.

Twas a brutal wind, most cold!
A site rebuild was thus foretold
And all was lost to worlds of mold

There aft I did refrain
To enter more where less remain
I saw no point to thus maintain
if only it were just in vain.

My words were lost, my hopes were dashed

My profile empty, my dreams done trashed

I stepped away. I grew a 'stache(?)

But now I'm back, just like our group.

And I'll repost what comes on Soup

Lest cafe thinks me a dupe

And burns all my works to goop.
