Chapter (1) LOVE HURTS.

Love Hurts.

 

Do you remember when we first met in the park?

You said your dog would only bark,

Then he bit me.

How you laughed.

That first kiss so passionate so sweet, so long, oh sooo long

When your metal tooth brace

Trapped my tongue,

Boy did you laugh.

Our first weekend away, in Paris at the Cafe Du vine,

You knocked over a whole bottle of red wine

and ruined my best suit.

Oh how you laughed.

And remember the day I helped your dad

Fix the roof on his shed,

and I fell off and cracked my head.

You laughed, my how you laughed.

And through it all I’ve come to realize.

I married a ruddy jinx.
