Chapter (10) A HAPPY EVER AFTER STORY

Chapter (10) A HAPPY EVER AFTER STORY

A Chapter by MAD ENGLISHMAN

Once upon a time, in a land far away,

A princess was locked in a tower.

The King and Queen had put her there,

because she wouldn’t wash or shower.

Then one day a Prince came riding,

On his horse along the path.

He saved the damsel in distress

but said “Phew you need a bath.”

So the Princess scrubbed and cleaned herself,

And she washed her golden hair.

The King and Queen said “Awwww”

Don’t they make a lovely pair.

Quite soon the two were married,

And the castle filled with laughter.

The Princess washed herself every day,

And they all lived happily, ever after.

This made me smile! I needed one of those today. It was very enjoyable. Quite refreshing to read with no unnecessary fluff. Very clean. (Yes, pun intended.) I read it to my son, who is a self-proclaimed connoisseur of all things humorous. He gave it a belly laugh and two thumbs up!

Thank you!

Ha ha ha. Just a little moral tale for the kids.
The picture surely adds to the poem and the first sentence: "Once upon a Time" you wrote in the first stanza definitely has a connection to the title.
