Chapter (12) WHY ?

Why do you need to tell me?

You wish you’d never strayed.

Why does your memory haunt me?

Why do I wish you’d stayed?

 

Why do you like to call me up?

To talk for hours on the phone.

Why do you think I want to sit

and listen to you moan.

 

Why do you text me nightly?

For 12 years we’ve been apart.

Why do you say you love me?

Your words cut deep into my heart.

 

Why do you write on Facebook?

To tell me why you’re feeling blue.

But the question I want answered is

Why am I

still in love with you?

I still hold a great deal of affection for my ex wife. Who knows what the future holds. Getting back together would not be the worst thing that could happen.
