hapter (15) I HAD A CRY TODAY

I had a cry today.

The TV’s fault.

I wish they’d halt

this stream of Christmas gush.

Those old films, they knew just how to push

the sentimental button.

So why do I watch them?

I guess I’m a glutton for those oldies.

Stories of hope in black and white

Of choices to make, wrong or right,

Of family love and heaven above

And I sit here,

and I cry.
