had to ventA Poem by Madamejust a summery of my day
Woke up this morning to a grumpy child
kicking and screaming he was going wild. Took him to daycare, almost without shoes. he clung to my leg, crying sweet "I love yous" Leaving him there was hard, but it had to be done. little did i know, this morning had only begun. Made it to work, a little behind. Already starting to feel the grind. came into the kitchen and found a greasy mess. a plethora of grease and crumb transgressed. spent an hour scrubbing the stove top. then enters the kitchen cop. How did it look today? you kidding? Why lie? by now i am fuming. Lunch is a rush, but i get by. Night shift comes in, i breath heavy sigh. the tattle tell has made her point. and now silence fills the joint. bad moods make the air heavy. excuses levy. no need to care any more 5 o'clock, i am out the door. rush in my house determined to relax but wait whats this? kids been bad at the doc. no, it's not a shock. now they have to go again? i thought they saw a pediatrician someone trained to deal with kids. what gives? epic sigh, grown, again? kids scream and fight. too loud to talk, will this last all night? now a head ache i get to fight. time for dinner, bath and bed. if they don't be quiet i might loose my head. © 2011 Madame |
