Puppets

Puppets

A Poem by Annabelle N.

A puppeteer pulling invisible strings

for a shell perceived to be a girl.

Moving her body,

while her mind floats

in an endless abyss of nothingness.

Painting on smiles

and relaying recorded laughs.

He portrays her as normal.

When inside,

she is empty.

Really you're right people laugh & enjoy the puppets every time, but the truth is they are empty inside. Such a unique point about "Puppets" Greatly wrote my friend :)

Definitely deep and thought provoking. Nice use of theme in this. You kept it consistant throughout. Great writing.

A powerful write, expressed so uniquely. It grabs the reader and opens the meanings within. Write on poetess.

It would be interesting to learn what prompted this for you. Very interesting write, leaving me a little unsettled, if that was the intention.
