There is a prayer that goes something like this "May I be granted the strenth to change the things I can, accept the things I cannot and the wisdom to knowthe diffierence. This poem me Gumba describes one of those times. Yet it seems that the persona is at loss and confused s/he knows that what will come is inevitable yet isreluctant to accept the fact. The poem IMHO brings this out clearly. As usual you have said what you intended to say in a clarion voice and being who you are made it plain that you have no intention of giving in.
Subjugated till all whats left is the image in someone else's mirror, trapped lost and all alone, a phantom of your former self and now you are no more. Great poem
Photo made the words come alive. I could feel a sad undertone to the poem. When a woman become silence. Your words are true. "She is no more." A excellent poem.

This is a poem of defeat. Many poems strive to strike a positive note. But there are some defeats from which there is no return. I suppose some realtionships are like that, unrepairable, unrecoverable, permanently damanging. All we can hope to do is move on from them come alive again in some new way and seal the defeat away in some deep well ... and then throw a grenade down after it. The poem demands a sequel perhaps. SHE WILL BE AGAIN. Looking again, I see the poem cld be about other kinds of silence, perhaps the silence of a young person who has lost their way, strayed into some inner wilderness. It does happen.
Hello to all;
Been awhile since I been on. Most know me, some don't. Hopefully I can get to know the few that don't and catch up with all the other fine fellow poets/friends that have become so.. more..
