The poem told a story of sadness and disappointment. I like the ending. Accepting a goodbye and trying to find some sort of peace allow the heart to heal. A sad ending. When the heart fade away to nothing. Ain't much is left over. A excellent poem.

Yeah, that long goodbye that you never quite wanna make to someone who deserves less than that.
It almost extends to the point where the audience is anxious for the goodbye to end, but not the poem. This is a s**t road that's paved with broken glass that we've all had to roll around in at some point.
the heart is indeed a strange thing!! there is a strong poignance dotted around here which makes it sad - but it's very well written!! and I do like the rhyme scheme - it's nice and subtle so makes the rhymes more natural and roll off the tongue!! very nice!!!
There is pain in this but also a feeling of acceptance in the last two lines as if the person has been hurt but now has become reconciled to that and is saying never again. Brillinat.
WOW that one was deep but I have been there myself and I always say I'll never go back......smiles. Anyway I loved it and I'm glad you share a little of your heart with us.

Hello to all;
Been awhile since I been on. Most know me, some don't. Hopefully I can get to know the few that don't and catch up with all the other fine fellow poets/friends that have become so.. more..
