"Services rendered"

"Services rendered"

A Poem by Magdelena
"

Love sometimes can be so sad..

"
''Services rendered'' she said in a soft voice
His back to her, stiff and rigid, cold as ice
She waited silently, eyes pleading, yet silent
For how does one plead for love, not once, but twice?

Forever, he long ago promised
On a golden dream filled night
With stars twinkling softly above
Oh sweet heaven... What a beautiful sight!

His lips.. Soft and sensual, so loving
Drawing from hers, honeydew moistness, kisses surreal
Arms so protecting, radiating such strength and love
That only those blessed she knew, could only feel.

Yet here they now stood
Filled with anger, fear, and oh so alone
For where did it all go wrong;
Of a love that once so lovingly shone?

And as he now stood so silently
His back so rigid and cold
She felt the tears slowly start to fall
For a love that now has grown old.

Not once did he turn
Not to even look her way
And as the door slowly opened
She whispered softly..

"Services rendered"
Then watched... As he slowly walked away.

A sad poem, the persona have touched a chord here not only in my heart but in possably all others who will read this and comment.
This is a story of hurt, possably beyond the limit of hurt a loss that may never be retrived. I believe that this persona should move on seek another for only with a new love a true love will this present hurt be assuaged.
A beautiful yet heart rending piece that IMO only a "New" love will make whole

If there is anything more poignant that unrequited love, it's a scene like this - where a once passionate and heart-felt love has died to a cold ember. It's a very visual piece - I can picture the scene vividly and the emotion is very honest. Good write!

how sad...when only one is totally in love...or committed to loving...it is sadly a visual that no one wishes to feel...unloved...

nice...but sad...
