Grey and Blue

Speak your mind, no one will do it for you.

My entire being
lives in shades
of both grey
and blue.

Yes,
I do know
what that means.

So cross your arms
defensively
across your chest,
and shake your
heavy head
at me.

I dare you to try
and drag me down
by the feet,
I’ll just take
you up with me.

It’s not a bad thing,
maybe you’d know
if your mind was
clouded with smoke,
that makes
your dreams come true.

Rather than the
intentions of
the people that surround
you.

My lips are grey
and the words
they speak are blue,
I dare you to tell me that
they don’t ignite
a single piece of
you.
